Responsibilities

Execute production operations according to defined procedures in a high-throughput lab while maintaining product quality and reliability
Operate automated laboratory equipment, including liquid handlers, high-throughput DNA analyzers, thermocyclers, and DNA sequencers
Accurately document production runs and any deviations in the appropriate information management systems and batch records
Draft and review manufacturing SOPs, work instructions, and production batch records
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment
Manage production inventory management and prepare products for final shipment
Perform lab cleaning tasks
Work collaboratively to meet short/medium/long-term goals efficiently and reliably
Communicate effectively, including possible mitigation options, when tasks or projects cannot be completed
Identify problems and offer possible resolutions and actions
Able to independently resolve routine issues

Required

An associate's degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field with 3–6 years of relevant experience
Experience with the operation of liquid handling robots
Experience with PCR, nucleic acid purification, and NGS library prep
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work 4pm - 12:30am, Tuesday-Saturday

Preferred

Experience with data tracking via LIMS system
Experience with bacterial cell culture (E. coli or yeast) and plasmid cloning
Experience in a startup environment, with the ability to anticipate change, adapt quickly, and maintain organization
