Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Account Manager for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions. The role focuses on managing and expanding the customer base while developing new business opportunities in liquid and bulk commodity sales and marketing.

Responsibilities
Lead Commercial Account Manager for all customer inquiries within specific terminal facilities
Negotiate services, rates, and commitments with customers and assist Contract Administration in order to develop and execute contracts
Develop and maintain business relationships to keep existing business and drive growth within existing accounts
Develop strategic sales/marketing plans for bulk and liquids commodities within regions
Participate and provide support for acquisitions and expansion projects
Take lead on building and fostering relationships with local economic development groups and other trade organizations
Work closely with Terminal Managers to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for customer accounts and coordinate Quality Partnership Meetings (QPM's) with customers at each terminal
Coordinate effectively with Operations, Legal, EH&S, Engineering, and other internal/external resources to identify and address various aspects of contract commitments and requirements
Provide assistance to support customer service, accounting and other KM functions to assure satisfaction of products and services, customer collections and adjustments, logistics, etc
Communicate effectively and regularly with management on market trends, business prospects and inquiries, customer issues, goals and objectives
Manage customer site visits, and act as liaison between customer and terminal operation group
Assist in accounts receivable and collection efforts
Communicate effectively across company regions and business units regarding customers and capabilities
Lead and coordinate with Commercial Analyst to develop models for expansion projects
Qualification
Required

Year degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering field with relatable experience. MBA/PE is a plus
Minimum of three to five years of professional work experience in the commercial sales and marketing, operational management or engineering, in the transportation/warehousing service industry
Demonstrated experience in negotiating customer agreements
Familiarity with financial models and terminology (IRR, EBITDA, Terminal Value, etc.)
Effective oral and written communications
Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Must be able to accept direction and work cooperatively with others
Reporting to the Commercial Director for the Mid Atlantic Region
Travel will be required on a regular basis to assigned terminals and Customer meetings
Position based out of Charleston, SC Area Office
Preferred
Knowledge of the products, modes of transport, methods of handling, and customers associated with the bulk and liquid terminalling industry
