InternThe American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support various HR activities. This role involves working closely with the HR Manager to enhance employee engagement, assist in recruitment and onboarding, and provide support for learning and development initiatives.

Responsibilities
Work in tandem with HR Manager and the social activities workgroup on org-wide social events. Create surveys, contact vendors, draft internal communications for staff, among other duties
Process weekly core awards and draft announcements for employee recognition programs
Assist with recruitment by maintaining job postings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
Assist with onboarding new staff by setting up onboarding templates and monitoring progression, creating system profiles, and preparing informative documents
Conduct mid-point HR check-ins
Assist with learning and development initiatives by helping plan, prepare, and deliver staff training
Perform administration of HR functions as assigned
Provide basic administrative, logistical, and data-entry support to all Human Resources functions and projects. These might include:
Running reports, document management, HR system maintenance, and audits
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a liberal arts and/or business program
Interest in the human resources profession
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with excellent attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software programs quickly
