IT Specialist - Enterprise Architect/Network Engineer
Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking civilian professionals to support the United States Air Force. The role involves serving as a senior technical expert and network systems engineer for the Executive Airlift Communications Network, focusing on analysis, design, implementation, and management of network systems.

Responsibilities
Serve as senior technical expert/advisor, enterprise architect and network systems engineer for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) in support of the Senior Leader Command, Control, and Communications System – Airborne (SLC3S-A) program
Responsible for the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the EACN structural framework
Align the EACN framework with the mission, goals, and processes
Work includes the testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration/interoperability, and maintenance/sustainment of EACN used for the transmission of information by senior leaders
Interface with stakeholders at the Major Commands (MAJCOMs), COCOMs, Department of the Air Force (DAF), Joint Service, and Department of War (DOW) levels
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current 'Top Secret' Security clearance with eligibility to gain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
Incumbent is required to complete foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role
Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals, principles, and methodologies of enterprise architecture and network engineering practices gained through formal education and experience
Technical knowledge of network/system engineering, systems hardware design and software applications
Knowledge of satellite communications and airborne network systems programs, architectures, facilities, hardware, and software
Knowledge of communications and information systems operations, design, configuration, facilities, practices, and methodology found both in government and industry
Knowledge of the acquisition process and system sustainment issues, standard Air Force communications and information infrastructure systems and programs, DoW and Air Force architecture, DoW and Air Force airborne networks programs, information assurance requirements and network operations
Skill and ability to configure, test, and troubleshoot computers, computer operating systems, computer applications and communications and networking protocols and equipment
Knowledge of and ability to develop network engineering documentation products, plans, policy, expert guidance and procedural documents, and technical reports
Preferred
Significant experience with Cisco
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
