Responsibilities

Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim; manages claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution
Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation
Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority
Calculates and assigns timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim
Calculates and pays benefits due; approves and makes timely claim payments and adjustments; and settles claims within designated authority level
Performs other duties as assigned
Supports the organization's quality program(s)
Travels as required

Qualification

GL product liability claimsLitigation managementContract analysisNew York Adjuster LicenseAnalytical skillsNegotiation skillsCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Minimum 10 years of GL product liability claims experience, with demonstrated success managing complex and high‑severity losses
Experience in property damage, large loss, and technically complex matters
Strong background in contract analysis, including indemnity and risk‑transfer evaluation
Significant litigation management experience, including collaboration with defense counsel and familiarity with trial processes
Ability to obtain New York Adjuster License within 90 days required
Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Five (5) years of Liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
New York Adjuster License strongly preferred
