Senior Cutting Sales Manager – Southwest

Responsibilities

Actively works with Field Sales Force and Distributor Network in targeting account penetration, qualification, relationship development, needs analysis, proposing solutions, and closing business of new cutting machines and retrofits
Effective utilization of sales processes (Value Selling, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, etc.) that drives desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to sales leadership
Develop a regional business plan to achieve sales goals and company objectives
Responsible for improving customer satisfaction; accountable for resolving customer problems
Fully communicate sales and marketing needs to sales leadership
Formulate and implement effective time/territory management tactics
Manage operating expense budget for assigned area
Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel

Required

Four-year college degree, or equivalent education/experience
4+ years industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience preferred
4+ years industrial sales experience, with cutting automation sales experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel

Knowledge of cutting and automation equipment markets preferred
Experience with shipbuilding industry a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to develop sales solutions and close opportunities

Established project management skills
Strong leadership skills and ability to facilitate process changes in the assigned region
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, and Power BI or similar database applications
