Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire/life safety, and control systems
Ensure building systems comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
Support and maintain an energy management program to maximize system efficiency
Assist with preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed
Conduct inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure proper operation
Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean work environment
Apply standard engineering principles to complete complex assignments and troubleshoot issues
Coach team members and share technical knowledge as needed
Support daily and weekly PMs including lubricating doors, checking fire panels, and general building upkeep
Perform light plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work and assist with furniture moves
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (trade school preferred)
1–2 years of relevant building maintenance or engineering experience
Basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and prolonged standing
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and email communication
Experience using work order and risk assessment applications
Preferred
Universal CFC certification
Any applicable trade licenses or certifications
Advanced mechanical or facilities maintenance skills
Prior shift leadership or supervisory experience
