Responsibilities

Author, update and coordinate Government Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans
Lead planning teams to develop consensus on COOP plans and supporting documentation
Coordinate COOP activities and requirement with other Government entities
Articulately brief complex issues to senior government officials
Analyze complex issues, formulate and defend recommended courses of action
Support development of training, test and evaluation plans and post event after action reports
Attend continuity working groups and promulgate meeting minutes
Support operations and operations center activities as required
Ability to travel periodically up to 2 weeks within the continental U.S. to support planning, exercise and operational activities and support deployed COOP operations if required

Required

Active Top Secret clearance required
Top Secret/SCI clearance must be able to obtain
5 + years of related experience
US Citizenship Required

Strong verbal and personal communication skills
BA/BS and 5+ years of experience in operational or continuity planning
Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus among diverse and competing requirements
Ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally
Able to lead working groups and brief outcomes to senior officials
Knowledge principles and practices of COOP and/or emergency management
Familiarity with Federal doctrinal planning development processes
Familiarity with Federal Continuity Directive -1 (FCD-1) a plus
