Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Expert knowledge of Rent Manager and Quickbooks required.— including GL, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting
Lead role in preparation of annual budgets that align with Business Plan objectives
Support leadership with financial modeling, profitability analysis, and cost-control initiatives
Establish, document, and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax quarterly tax payments, property tax and payroll filings
Oversee inventory valuation and standard cost accuracy within the ERP system
Cash Management & Treasury
Monitor daily cash position, banking relationships, and credit facilities
Ensure timely receipt of deposits from customer payment sources (ie credit card processing banks, customer financed transactions, etc)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5 + years of progressive accounting experience
Expert knowledge of Rent Manager and Quickbooks required— including GL, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Preferred
CPA/CMA/MBA strongly preferred
Experience with complex real estate transactions preferred
