Responsibilities
Work responsibilities include but not limited to authorizing referral with insurance, scheduling patient with appropriate provider based on referred to provider, patient choice or recommendations from referral coordinator, documenting all appropriate/necessary information in referral to complete it
Maintains a constructive working relationship with physicians, physician office staff, co-workers, supervisors and focuses on patient needs
Referral Coordinators are expected to work 80 referrals a day and 24 to 48 hours upon receipt
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of clinical experience and health insurance knowledge
