Responsibilities
Lead a development team in designing, customizing, and optimizing scalable Java-based applications such as Salesforce, Netsuite, UKG, PowerBI, Concur, Sharepoint, and more
Provide guidance, direction, and support to technical team members as well as work independently on development initiatives
Set clear expectations, delegate tasks effectively, and enable team members to deliver solutions
Cultivate and maintain strong vendor relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and analysis in order to understand application usability and functionality
Possess a broad range of hands-on knowledge in corporate data systems, enterprise software, and application architecture within Java and AWS environments
Debug code to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability, functionality, and security of applications prior to deployment
Enable the data engineering team in the deployment of data solutions, road maps, and models
Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic objectives for technical teams
Set measurable goals and milestones aligned with organizational priorities
Evaluate progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed to ensure alignment with overarching business objectives
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and capabilities
Identify and address challenges and obstacles proactively
Communicate effectively with team members, peers, and upper management to ensure clarity and alignment
Act as a liaison between technical teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Must sit in MN, WI, IL, MS, NY, GA, CA, VA, or ID
5+ years in a leadership role with direct reports
