Responsibilities

Own device architecture and schematics to define block diagrams, IO descriptions, component selection/packaging and feature/behavior list
Review PCB designs for integrity and robustness pertaining to signal and power against EMC/EMI standards
Ensure vehicle-level alignment on operating (temp, voltage, etc.) conditions. Oversee network message mapping, diagnostic integration, sleep/wake strategies, and device bring up
Source and instruct suppliers on product development while ensuring program milestones, costs, and internal requirements
Develop 3D A-surface and geometry of innovative designs and solutions, solving for vehicle environments while balancing material, package, and manufacturing methods, mold flows, and more
Own and lead product development interests while navigating supplier and internal challenges. Present in Exec level meetings for status updates and project buy offs

Required

B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
2+ years of experience designing, developing, and releasing one or more interior subsystem or equivalent electronic design experience
2+ years of experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively (NX, Catia, 3DX, etc.)
Proven vehicles launch experience in development, prototyping, builds, and other milestones
Proven experience of known failure modes in PCB design and injection molding
Familiarity with LIN based ECUs and resistor-based switches
Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Driven and eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and world-class environment that aims for excellence

Preferred

Master's Degree Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, CANoe/other diagnostic tools, etc.)
Excellent understanding of GD&T standards
Working level proficiency of PCBA development on Altium
Experience using Confluence, Jira, Asana, or other project management tools
Familiar with homologation requirements for vehicles (FMVSS/UNECE) and functional safety/HARA (ASIL rating, ISO 26262, ISO 4229 UDS)
Thorough understanding of Design Validation and Process Validation
An eye for design aesthetics, colors, materials, finishes along with unique manufacturing methods to attain them
