Technical Support Assistant
Convergenz is seeking a Technical Support Assistant to help set up, replace, and ship computer equipment for employees. This role involves managing new hire equipment setups, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining inventory records.
Responsibilities
Start new‑hire tickets and begin the setup process
Create email accounts and share login info with the right teams
Replace laptops/tablets when requested
Provide equipment for contract workers as needed
Troubleshoot issues and decide when to escalate to higher support
Keep track of inventory and update records
Ship equipment to branches and handle returned devices
Terminate access for employees who leave
Maintain documentation and communicate any setup issues
Help the software support team when needed
Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Experience in technical support or IT assistance
Familiarity with computer hardware and software
Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
Strong organizational skills to manage inventory
Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Preferred
Experience with account setup and management
Knowledge of shipping and inventory management processes
Familiarity with documentation practices in a technical environment
