Responsibilities
Monitors and supports enterprise job schedule, assist support teams to troubleshoot production issues, and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
Installs, configures, troubleshoots, documents, and maintains IM systems, including data warehouse, business intelligence, and big data applications and architectures
Monitors servers and databases, and ensure optimal performance Works with business and IT stakeholders to optimize information by designing and administering reliable, secure, and compliant IM systems and processes
Creates application and process documentation, schematics, and layouts Recommends improvements and applies standards, processes, and procedures for IM systems Seeks continuous IM System performance improvement and ensures security of information
Creates and implements effective metrics and monitoring processes
May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Acts as a resource and impacts the quality of work for colleagues with less experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience
4+ Years (or relevant) experience administering enterprise scheduling, ETL/ELT, analytical, and/ or big data applications
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information
Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus
Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in straightforward manner
Regular and predictable attendance
Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, Informatica PowerCenter or other ETL solution, Talend, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Oracle, SQL Server, Vertica, Windows, Linux/Unix
Preferred
Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS)
Hadoop, Impala, PL/SQL, Java, Perl
Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge
