Cognizant is seeking a Senior BI Developer – Power BI & Paginated Reports who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities

Power BI Development – Design and maintain semantic models, dashboards, and reports; build optimized DAX; implement RLS and refresh strategies; ensure performance and usability
Paginated Reports – Create parameterized, export-ready RDL reports with complex layouts and consistent formatting for operational and regulatory needs
Data Integration – Collaborate on pipelines and warehouses; connect to diverse sources (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Synapse, APIs); validate data quality; support migration from legacy tools
Stakeholder Collaboration – Translate business requirements into BI solutions; partner with users to refine reporting needs; ensure alignment with governance and standards
Leadership & Best Practices – Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to BI governance, documentation, and standards

Required

5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics development
Advanced expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX, data modeling)
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Paginated Reports (RDL / SSRS)
Strong SQL skills (query optimization, CTEs, window functions)
Experience with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
Experience implementing security, performance tuning, and deployment pipelines

Preferred

Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or equivalent)
Experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory)
Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI and ALM best practices
Experience supporting financial, operational, or compliance reporting
Knowledge of Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, or similar tooling
