Responsibilities
Administer and support employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, and wellness plans
Manage open enrollment activities, including employee communications, system updates, and vendor coordination
Ensure accurate benefit enrollments, changes, payroll deductions, and contribution reconciliations
Maintain and audit benefits configuration in Workday; partner with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors to resolve discrepancies
Analyze benefit plan utilization, costs, and participation; prepare ongoing reports
Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers; resolve escalated benefits and claims issues
Oversee EDI file setup, monitoring, and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ACA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, non-discrimination testing, 5500 filings, audits)
Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and provide education during open enrollment
Lead or support benefits-related projects, including annual open enrollment planning and execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in benefits administration and compliance
1–3 years of experience with Workday benefits
Experience supporting self-insured benefit plans
Strong analytical and Excel/spreadsheet skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience collaborating with remote teams across time zones
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
COVID-19 vaccination required unless prohibited by law
