Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures
Conduct safety audits, job site inspections, and risk assessments for internal operations and client sites
Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and documentation
Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and educational materials to employees and clients
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations
Maintain safety records, reports, and metrics; assist with regulatory reporting as needed
Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and client leadership to reinforce a culture of safety
Serve as a safety resource for questions, guidance, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Associate or bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in a safety-related role (utilities, construction, telecom, or industrial environments preferred)
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to client sites as needed
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent
Experience supporting electric utilities, cooperatives, or broadband/telecom operations
Training or facilitation experience
Familiarity with safety management systems and incident tracking tools
