InternAltec is a family-owned company with a long history in providing quality equipment to the Telephone Industry and beyond. They are seeking an Engineering Intern/Coop to work on projects that implement lean manufacturing principles and improve production efficiency.

Responsibilities
Lead and participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement events
Make changes to layout of the plant to increase production efficiency and output
Help implement 5S and Visual Management Boards
Conduct time studies, identify, and eliminate waste, & create standard work
Design storage solutions to improve floor space utilization
Supporting production on prototype units after the initial design has been completed
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an ABET EAC certified degree in Engineering required
Preferred
A degree in one of the following majors preferred: Mechanical Engineering
A degree in one of the following majors preferred: Industrial Engineering
A degree in one of the following majors preferred: Agricultural Engineering
Completion of Dynamics & Statics Classes preferred
