Responsibilities
Supervise daily QA activities including product sampling, testing, and documentation
Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, cGMP, HACCP, FSMA, and customer standards
Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions as needed
Conduct root cause analysis and develop preventive measures
Maintain detailed and accurate inspection and lab records
Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Train, mentor, and schedule QA technicians to ensure coverage across shifts
Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Demonstrate proficiency in all laboratory tasks
Partner with the QA Manager to develop and execute annual departmental goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of QA experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
2+ years in a supervisory QA role
Strong understanding of HACCP, cGMP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance
