They are seeking a full-time Development Associate to work in their Communications and Development Division, focusing on creating and implementing development plans to increase revenue and enhance agency visibility.

Responsibilities

Working with the Director of Communications and Development, this person will work to create and implement an agency-wide development plan to increase revenue
Develop, plan, and coordinate special programs and events aimed at enhancing agency visibility and securing additional revenue
Work with the director to develop a media relations plan, to include pitching stories, and serving as one of the agency’s media contacts
Writing/proofing ability to create compelling content that appeals to current and prospective donors and supporters, as well as marketing materials to promote the agency

Required

B.A. degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in communications and development, or any combination of experience/training that would provide the level of knowledge required
Strong writing, verbal, creative, and interpersonal skills
Community networking and development expertise, as well as public relations experience
Detail-oriented and well-organized; able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Desired computer skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Canva, WordPress, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and eTapestry (Blackbaud)
