Responsibilities
Direct daily activities, provide clear goals (SQDC) and regular feedback to team members to ensure alignment with company objectives as communicated by the Supervisor/Manager
Oversee zonal allocation, ensure you have proper people allocations in each work station as needed and escalate any gaps to the Supervisor
Support the Supervisor on Identifying training needs and provide coaching to support the professional growth and skill development of each team member
Track team performance against key metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Act as a liaison between the team and management, ensuring transparent communication regarding progress, challenges, and achievements of your allocated area
Understand the product and production fundamentals (Takt, operator and equipment cycle time, Downtime tracking, escalation, safety and quality issue escalation protocol, waste elimination and continuous Improvement)
Meet your zonal objectives as set forth by Area leadership:
Run 5 mins Start of shift huddle (output, goals, safety issues, 5S)
Respond and Escalate issues per criticality to the supervisor immediately
Maintain the 5S-Safety at the highest standard in your zone and in the Battery area
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or higher
2+ years of experience in a relevant field (Battery/EV preferred)
Proven leadership or prior team lead/supervisory experience (preferably 1+ years)
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Record of repeated strong performance and positive peer feedback
Strong Expertise in 2 or more Battery zones: Preferred - Battery Zone 1 (Cell Placement/Cell adhesive application); additionally Zone 2 (Battery Module: Lasering, Wire-bonding the cells), Zone 3 (Foaming) and Pack Assembly. Working knowledge of all zones
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
