Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight in evaluating potential commercial real estate (CRE) debt investments, ensuring rigorous due diligence and timely execution
Originate, structure, and review financing proposals for internal approval by the Fund’s Credit Committee and for external presentation to debt and equity partners
Manage, mentor, and develop senior associates and analysts, guiding underwriting, financial modeling, and transaction-level due diligence
Lead the preparation of concise and comprehensive Investment Memoranda and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial models presented to the Investment Committee
Oversee ongoing analysis of portfolio performance, market dynamics, and credit conditions across the loan portfolio
Partner closely with origination, underwriting, and executive leadership (CEO, CFO, COO) to advance strategic initiatives and business objectives
Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, proactively addressing complex issues and mitigating risk throughout the life of transactions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in commercial lending, real estate finance, or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in CRE debt
Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct management or supervision of associates and analysts
Proven ability to originate, underwrite, structure, and close complex CRE debt transactions
Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities, including expertise in financial modeling, credit analysis, and portfolio management
Preferred
Advanced degree or professional designations (e.g., CFA, CCIM)
