Sales Development Representative
Vericut is a company focused on manufacturing and industrial software solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive early-stage revenue opportunities. The SDR will identify, qualify, and nurture leads, collaborating closely with sales and technical teams to ensure smooth deal progression.
Responsibilities
Partner with Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve quarterly revenue and pipeline goals
Conduct inbound and outbound prospecting to engage manufacturing, machining, and industrial customers
Communicate confidently with prospects using fundamental machining and manufacturing terminology (e.g., CNC machining, post processors, tooling, multi-axis machines, shop floor workflows)
Qualify leads by understanding customer manufacturing environments, workflows, and software needs
Build, manage, and progress a qualified pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, social media, and other prospecting methods
Develop trusted relationships with prospects by demonstrating an understanding of manufacturing challenges and production efficiency goals
Schedule discovery calls, meetings, and product demonstrations with the assigned sales representatives
Maintain accurate lead, contact, and opportunity data within the CRM system
Gather customer feedback on solution usage, manufacturing workflows, feature adoption, and future needs
Support Maintenance & Renewals activities in partnership with Sales and Technical Support teams
Track and report on lead activity, pipeline health, and conversion metrics
Contribute to additional sales, marketing, or operational projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Diploma or equivalent professional experience in sales, manufacturing, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in customer service, software sales, or inside sales; experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments is strongly preferred
Familiarity with machining or manufacturing concepts (CNC machining, CAD/CAM workflows, shop floor operations, industrial software); hands-on experience not required, but foundational understanding is expected
Ability to comfortably engage technical and non-technical stakeholders within manufacturing organizations
Strong collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with Sales and Technical Support teams
Passion for customer success and the ability to connect business value to technical solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working with diverse cultures and global customers
Ability and willingness to learn complex product lines and manufacturing software solutions
Open to constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement
Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Team-oriented with high ethical standards
Willingness to travel up to 15%
