Responsibilities
Under general direction, plan and perform engineering duties for part of a major project or for projects of moderate complexity
Create embedded applications using Java for the Edge Intelligence Platform
Respond quickly to changes in requirements
Assist with testing software in a live environment with smart meters
Contribute to component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation
Qualification
Required
Object Oriented Programming Concepts
Experience programming in Java
Tools: Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, VS Code, IntelliJ, Git, Gitlab
Appropriately applies engineering principles and concepts to area of specialization. Can draw solutions from formal training and experience
Knowledge of software engineering practices
Ability to learn to use data effectively to solve problems and support ideas
Ability to Integrate apps and test with real smart metering devices
Ability to understand the codebase and deliver assigned improvements
Ability to complete and validate small features with oversight
Applicants must be undergraduate students currently in their Sophomore or Junior year working on their Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
