Vendor Services Analyst - 31001748

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is responsible for planning and responding to disasters in Florida. The Vendor Services Analyst will support financial management activities, assist with budget management, and coordinate procurement for the Bureau of Response.

Responsibilities

Assist in tracking and reviewing Response’s annual budget, including operating funds, grant-funded projects, and position rate controls
Assist in analyzing current and projected budget expenditures, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting
Support Response’s annual budget management by assisting in data collection and financial reporting for operating funds and grant-funded projects
Coordinate with the Bureau of Financial Management and the Office of Procurement and Contract Management to assist with procuring goods and services for Response and the SERT
Assist in monitoring and tracking purchases, invoicing, and payment close-out activities, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement policies
Perform necessary duties during activations of the SEOC, including working non-traditional hours when needed
Assist with travel coordination, including but not limited to Response’s leadership travel; special projects, and other tasks as assigned by senior staff
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

A minimum of four years' experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. A post-secondary degree in finance, accounting, or a related field may be used as an alternative for years of experience on a year-for-year basis
A minimum of two years' professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or procurement
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn and navigate division enterprise business systems
Valid driver's license
Basic understanding of financial management principles
Familiarity with the state budgetary process and procurement policies
Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to collect and verify financial and contractual documents
Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Preferred

Professional experience with public sector or government finance, including knowledge of state budgetary processes and procurement policies
