IT Security Analyst II
HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union is a local, not-for-profit financial cooperative dedicated to helping members achieve their financial goals. They are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst II to protect the company’s information systems and data from security threats while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and analyzing security systems, including but not limited to AV/ EDR, Web gateway, and SIEM solutions
Support the IT Security team in responding to security incidents and breaches, including investigating and documenting incidents, in-depth analysis, mitigation, recover and implementing preventive measures
Assist with creating and updating basic automation scripts using Python and/ or PowerShell to streamline security operations and incident response workflows
Collaborate with IT and business units to implement cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain and update ticket management systems to track security issues, resolutions, and documentation for audit readiness
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends and threats to proactively adjust defense strategies and tools
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
At least 2 years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity roles
Hands-on experience with any of the following, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Intrusion Detection/ Prevention Systems (IDS/ IPS), Anti-Virus/Endpoint Detection and Response systems, Web proxies, Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems
Scripting skills in Python and/ or PowerShell for automation and security task management
Security+ or GIAC
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, Group policies, DNS
Intermediate knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating systems
Intermediate knowledge of virtualization technology
Intermediate knowledge of cloud solutions such as Entra AD, Office365
Intermediate knowledge of Single Sign On (SSO)
Intermediate knowledge of Incident Response
Basic to Intermediate knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls
Basic knowledge of Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) regulations
Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and incident response frameworks
