Responsibilities
Settlement Preparation: Independently prepare high-accuracy Closing Disclosures (CD) and ALTA Settlement Statements
Title Resolution: Review title commitments, identify requirements, and proactively resolve title defects or lien issues
Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for lenders, real estate agents, and clients to ensure all conditions are met for a smooth closing
Document Management: Prepare deeds, affidavits, and other necessary closing documents; coordinate the collection of payoffs and tax information
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in residential or commercial real estate settlements
Strong command of SoftPro is helpful
Deep understanding of title insurance and the ability to read and clear a title commitment
Exceptional 'soft skills'—you can remain calm and professional while managing multiple deadlines and high-pressure closing days
A 'measure twice, cut once' mentality when it comes to figures and legal descriptions
