The Inventory Technician will work in a storage and staging yard environment to test and evaluate liquid-filled transformers, utilizing technical and mechanical skills to ensure quality control and proper documentation.

Responsibilities

Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test, evaluate, disassemble, troubleshoot, and quality control electrical transformers

Document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories for each transformer

Operate forklifts and cranes to organize inventory, load, and unload transformers from flatbed trucks

Required

Technical and mechanical skills to test and evaluate liquid-filled transformers

Ability to operate electrical test equipment and power tools

Experience in disassembling, troubleshooting, and quality control of electrical transformers

Ability to document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories for each transformer

Experience operating forklifts and cranes

Ability to organize inventory and load/unload transformers from flatbed trucks

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to meet basic physical requirements for a heavy-equipment environment

Knowledge of basic hand tools

Ability to follow written instructions

Experience operating a computer or tablet

Excellent communication skills in-person, over the phone, and via email

Ability to learn quickly

Preferred

Skills and experience in welding, fabrication, general shop/mechanical skills, auto body prep/paint
