Foundation Financial Analyst - Gift Services

Responsibilities

Accurately recording donations and maintaining donor information
Analyzing gift data to provide insights into donor behavior, preferences, and trends
Ensuring timely and precise processing of all donations, including identification of gift designations and restrictions
Producing tax receipts and acknowledgments, adhering to IRS regulations and institutional policies
Compiling, analyzing, and delivering donation reports for Foundation leadership and internal partners
Investigating and resolving discrepancies, identifying process improvements, and preparing statistical information in clear, visual formats
Collaborating with Foundation teams on accounting related to special events
Managing recurring donations and assisting donors with gift transmission
Providing financial stewardship that supports strategic fundraising initiatives and best-in-class donor relations

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, business administration or related field
Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
Analytical thinking and creative problem solving and ability to define a variety of approaches to business problems
Understanding of business process analysis, system requirements, data modeling and functional design
Project Management skills

Preferred

One year experience of financial, budget or cost accounting preferred
Knowledge of IRS charitable contribution regulations, gift processing, and basic accounting principles
Proficiency with fundraising database systems
Strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to audit work for accuracy and quality are essential
