Compliance Manager

Talent Wave Associates is seeking a Compliance Manager to drive compliance excellence for their client’s products. The role involves leading compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, and managing compliance processes and product labeling.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Register products with relevant federal and state agencies before distribution
Maintain accurate inventory records for regulated raw chemicals
Coordinate product registration and renewals with appropriate agencies
Prepare and submit timely annual reports to federal and state agencies
Coordinate third-party laboratory testing for product samples and organize test results
Support identity testing evaluations for raw materials and assist in developing testing for chemical mixes
Provide technical support to Research & Development Chemists
Review and approve label artwork, maintain updated master label copies, and participate in creating labeling standards
Prioritize regulatory actions related to BOMs or QPRs and conduct special projects for business needs
Research and interpret current regulatory requirements for aerosol manufacturing, monitor changes, and communicate impacts
Attend meetings with government agencies and ensure product labels comply with Canadian regulations
Manage pesticide product registration
With leadership approval, review and authorize regulatory submissions, including:
IEPA Annual VOM Emission Report
U.S. EPA Hazardous Material Emission Report (SARA Section 313)
U.S. EPA Hazardous Chemical Inventory Reports (SARA Sections 311 & 312)
MWRD Annual User Charge Report
MWRD Industrial Waste Generator & Transportation Reports
U.S. EPA Annual Pesticide Report
California Low-VOC Product Sales Reports
Secure and maintain regulatory permits, including:
DOT Transportation of Hazardous Materials
IEPA Operating Permit (Title V)
Stormwater discharge permits
Develop and update environmental compliance programs such as:
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC)
Contingency Plan
