They are seeking an Investment Accountant responsible for the accounting, valuation, and financial reporting of investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and working closely with portfolio management and external auditors.

Responsibilities
Record and reconcile investment transactions including purchases, sales, income, corporate actions, and amortization
Maintain accurate books and records for investment portfolios, funds, or entities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting close processes
Produce investment schedules and support financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, statement of net assets)
Calculate and review fair value of investments in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
Support Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations
Coordinate valuation inputs with portfolio managers and third-party valuation providers
Document valuation methodologies and assumptions
Reconcile investment positions, cash, and income to custodians, brokers, and administrators
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Relevant experience in: Investment accounting, Fund accounting, Asset management, private equity, hedge fund, or financial services environments
Strong understanding of GAAP (and/or IFRS as applicable)
Experience with investment types such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, private investments, or alternatives
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling basics)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a close-driven environment
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Process improvement and systems mindset
