Responsibilities
Create a network systems and services roadmap to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure network performance within and between all company facilities, including the company’s Azure Cloud environment
Lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of network technologies and services, including ISP Connectivity, Voice over IP, Azure Services, Firewalls, Switches, and Wireless Access Points
Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively act on improvement opportunities, and address potential performance issues
Closely collaborate with IT counterparts to ensure team awareness and knowledge of network systems and services through documentation, coaching, and daily interaction
Contribute to the company’s overall information systems and security architecture strategy and design
Contribute to and sometimes lead infrastructure and security projects that rely on network services
Provides second level support as needed to resolve connectivity and infrastructure related issues
Assist designing and maintaining disaster recovery plans
Document and perform change control activities
Develop and maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in information technology, engineering, or related discipline. Extensive experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Five to ten years of experience in network administration, spanning IT and OT network environments
Network design and implementation skills across LAN, WAN, and Cloud environments
Hands on expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and other network services
Experience in designing and deploying secure network architectures
Expertise in secure network protocols, routing, and switching
Solid understanding of Security standards, such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, and how they influence network and network services designs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Proven track record of planning and managing complex technical projects
Preferred
Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, Azure Networking Specialist, or similar preferred
