Responsibilities
Design and execute multi-channel acquisition strategies targeting technical and specialist contributors
Build creative acquisition loops, including:
Technical challenges and screenings
Referral and ambassador programs
University, research, and niche community outreach
Content-driven growth initiatives
Engage contributors through communities (Slack, Discord, newsletters, forums)
Launch and optimize paid campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Reddit, and X
Create high-leverage content (email sequences, messaging frameworks, community content) to drive activation
Own the contributor funnel end-to-end, from sourcing through first project engagement
Partner cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to improve onboarding flows and internal tooling
Own and optimize key funnel metrics, including:
Conversion rates
Time-to-onboard
Retention and utilization
Cost efficiency
Implement measurement frameworks using A/B testing, cohort analysis, and attribution
Run structured experiments across channels, messaging, and formats
Forecast contributor supply in alignment with product demand and operational capacity
Design and implement systems for:
Vetting and quality assurance
Availability and capacity tracking
Skill-based matching to workflows
Build infrastructure to maximize contributor utilization across multiple projects
Partner with operations teams on training, QA standards, and performance management
Develop engagement and retention programs to reduce churn and improve long-term contributor performance
Qualification
Required
2–4+ years in growth, strategy, operations, or marketplace roles within startup or high-autonomy environments
Demonstrated success scaling user, contractor, or contributor networks using data-driven approaches
Strong understanding of funnels, experimentation, and performance metrics
Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills
High ownership mindset with a bias toward execution and measurable results
Preferred
Experience building or scaling talent pipelines or expert networks
Exposure to AI, ML, data platforms, or human-in-the-loop systems
Technical background or comfort working with engineering teams
Experience operating distributed or global contributor communities
