Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs (REST, GraphQL, and event-driven as appropriate) using Python
Build APIs that support both internal platform capabilities and external/customer-facing integrations
Leverage AWS cloud services to deploy, monitor, and scale API solutions
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and cross-functionally to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable deployments
Optimize API performance, scalability, and availability, including monitoring and troubleshooting production issues
Apply best practices for API versioning, documentation, security, and observability
Participate actively in, technical design discussions and code reviews
Qualification
Required
7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant focus on API development
Strong experience building APIs using Python
Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments
Solid understanding of RESTful design, GraphQL, and/or event-driven architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and modern development workflows
Proven ability to design systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally
No degree required; demonstrated experience and technical capability are paramount
