This role involves conducting field audits of Housing Quality Standards Inspections to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and preparing reports of audit findings.

Responsibilities

Conducts field audits of Housing Quality Standards Inspections (HQS) to ensure U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) requirements are met
Prepares and submits reports of audit findings and recommends corrective action
Audits annual reexaminations of existing program participants to ensure all program allowances, tenant rent calculations, and allowed deductions are all applied in accordance with HUD regulations
Interprets and implements HUD regulations and guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, sociology or a related field
Experience working with PHA Web or other housing software is highly desirable
Must be detail orientated, ability to multi-task and perform efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to work independently
