Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable solutions for Executive Talent Management product features that serve Amazon's senior leadership, ensuring systems can handle enterprise-wide scale and complexity
Drive technical excellence across the full software development lifecycle, from design and code reviews to deployment and operational excellence, establishing best practices that elevate team standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with UX designers, product managers, research scientists, and partner teams to translate complex talent management requirements into intuitive, data-driven experiences
Mentor and develop engineers on the team, conducting code reviews, sharing technical expertise, and helping grow engineering capabilities across the organization
Lead feature development from conception to launch, taking ownership of both frontend and backend implementation while optimizing for performance, scalability, and user experience
Contribute to system architecture decisions, working with senior engineers to establish integration patterns and technical standards that enable seamless data access across Amazon's HR and business systems
Champion operational rigor by building monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks that ensure high availability and rapid incident response for production systems

Required

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
