The Project Engineer Intern will assist the Project Manager and Superintendents in executing complex heavy civil projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
Work directly with Project Manager and Superintendent to manage all phases of heavy civil or heavy highway projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
Ensure compliance with all project plans, specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements
Review job cost budget forecasts and communicate budgets to Superintendents
Help develop work and safety plans for various heavy civil operations
Oversee field operations on the project site
Submit and track all project related transmittals and submittals
Submit and track all project related correspondence
Work with Project Manager to forecast projects cost and revenue every month
Work with Project Manager and client to develop payment applications every month
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or another Engineering Major
Minimum GPA 2.75
Good teamwork and communication skills
Computer savvy – willing to learn new computer software
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Available to work at least 2-3 days per week
