Business Solutions Consultant

The Business Solutions Consultant is responsible for developing and managing employer relationships to create employment opportunities, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with career coaches to align job leads with graduate placements.

Responsibilities

The Business Solutions Consultant will build and maintain sustainable and long-term relationships with local, regional and national employers to increase employment opportunities for all campus graduates
Develop and maintain community involvement to support successful company branding within the physical footprint of their campus
Attend weekly meetings with DCS and other members of the Career Services team to understand the weekly goals required to provide available graduates and upcoming graduates with employment opportunities
Through employer cold-calls, off-site employer meetings and prospecting, this position will identify the optimal number of job leads and job orders for graduate placement
Follow-up with employers after graduate interviews for feedback and hiring possibilities
The BSC will communicate with the Career Coach and/or the Director of Career Services daily concerning interview feedback
Document all employer meetings, job leads and job orders in CampusVue
Work closely with Career Coaches to ensure opportunities are developed that are a match for available graduates and upcoming graduates
Deliver Daily Activity Report (DAR) to the Director of Career Services daily
Deliver Expense Report weekly for reimbursement
Ability to prioritize and strategize for optimal outcomes

Required

Associates Degree in business/sales related field, or minimum 2-years comparable work experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Solid ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrable creativity and be innovative in prospecting approach
The ideal candidate must possess both the ability and the willingness to work independently and act on her/his independent judgment
The candidate should be technically proficient in computer research and database management
Demonstrate an understanding of building relationships, networking and community-based business development
Always focus on Customer service and student-oriented satisfaction
School information, including, but not limited to placement activity, placement percentage rates, employer information, regulatory information, student and graduates personal information including names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and social security numbers of students and graduates
