Residential Services Aide (2nd Shift) - Selinsgrove Center

NEOGOV is seeking compassionate individuals to join the Department of Human Services as Residential Service Aides. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in residential units, helping them achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life at Selinsgrove Center.

Responsibilities

Creating, implementing, and overseeing treatment, training, and related services for residents
Delivering treatment and training in self-care, socialization, and health maintenance according to individual support plans
Contributing to improving the living environment by helping to select furniture and equipment, as well as assisting with purchasing and placing personal items
Ensuring residents have choices in their daily activities, balancing risk with opportunities for personal growth

Qualification

Intellectual disabilitiesAide Trainee program completionSelf-care assistanceDocumentation skillsCompassionate care

Required

Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
