Manager, Accounting
EF Johnson Technologies, a leader in mission-critical communication systems, is seeking a high-potential Accounting Manager. This role involves supporting all aspects of the monthly close, financial reporting, and internal controls while collaborating with various departments and providing financial insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
Support and eventually lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses
Maintain accurate balance sheet schedules, including inventory reserves, warranty reserves, and contract assets
Ensure timely submission of financial packages to JVC Kenwood, including full P&L, B/S, flux commentary, and required schedules
Assist with external auditors and provide required documentation
Oversee and maintain positive relationships with external tax consultants, ensuring timely preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns
Apply US GAAP and IFRS where applicable (inventory, revenue recognition, capitalized leases, reserves, etc.)
Support percentage-of-completion accounting for large P25 public-safety system projects
Maintain compliance with J-SOX internal control requirements and assist with testing and remediation
Collaborate with Sales, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Order Management and Engineering to understand financial impacts
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Coordinate with affiliates on intercompany reporting
Provide financial insights to senior leadership and the parent company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA or working toward certification
Must be proficient with ERP computer applications and MS Office products
Experience working with SQL or other database packages
Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus)
Minimum of ten years related accounting experience
Minimum of three years supervisory experience in accounting
Minimum of four years preparing GAAP consolidations and financial reports
Experience in maintaining and analyzing general ledger accounts
