Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth property research to verify ownership and identify encumbrances
Analyze title documents including deeds, mortgages, liens, and easements
Prepare and review title reports, commitments, and policies
Record documents with county clerks and manage legal descriptions
Maintain organized and compliant title records
Assist with closing packages and final title policy distribution
Perform complex data entry and utilize title software systems
Respond to internal and external inquiries professionally and promptly
Interpret tax and assessment reports and issue endorsements and guarantees
Support posting, locator duties, and property inspections as needed
Mentor and train junior staff
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in a title assistant or related role
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to train and support junior team members
