Start in 2026 SummerGenentech is seeking a highly talented and motivated intern for their Discovery Oncology Department to investigate mechanisms of cellular stress in cancer-relevant model systems. The intern will apply various molecular and cellular techniques to contribute to ongoing research efforts and gain hands-on experience in a translational research environment.

Responsibilities
Work in a collaborative environment with other scientists in the group to design and execute experiments
Keep detailed records of the research findings using an electronic notebook
Communicate and present results to a diverse group of scientists during internal meetings
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
Hands-on research experience in a biology lab environment with prior experience in mammalian cell culture
Preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Able to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment
Experience in basic molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques including immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation
Experience in chromatin biology and sequencing-based techniques such as RNA/ATAC/ChIP-seq is a plus
