1+ years expSection Partners is hiring an Analyst to join their deal team, focusing on venture capital and financial markets. The Analyst will support deal sourcing, diligence, analysis, research, modeling, and deal execution, while also contributing to portfolio operations.

Responsibilities
Support all phases of the deal cycle including origination, execution, and post-investment portfolio operations
Perform due diligence on venture-backed, late-stage technology companies
Prepare and maintain financial and valuation models
Create investment memos and other presentation materials
Support sourcing efforts and maintain internal deal database
Develop industry-specific expertise to enhance analysis and diligence
Create analyses on our portfolio and the broader market
Work on projects in operations, fundraising, marketing and events
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1+ year relevant work experience in finance, investing, banking and/or technology
Experience building valuation models and analyzing financial statements
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in STEM
Passion for technology and financial markets
Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and organized
Ability to work independently
Conscientious, curious and assertive
Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with powerpoint, excel, pitchbook, and google workspace
Authorized to work permanently in the U.S
