Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or Software Engineering
Minimum (2) years' experience as a programmer working with databases and developing enterprise-level applications, with a strong focus on systems integration and database programming
Knowledge of higher education environment practices
Knowledge of MS .Net, C#, MVC, and Visual Studio
Knowledge of Json, APIs, and Restful web services
Knowledge of software engineering concepts (such as requirements management, development models, testing, and documentation)
Skills in using Enterprising Reporting tools
Skills in writing application programs
Skills in using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other scripting software
Skills in communicating, both verbally and in writing
Skills in analyzing data
Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public
Ability to manage competing priorities in a highly demanding environment
Ability to scrutinize data and other information as it appears in on-screen reports and printed reports
Physical ability to occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities including close vision
Ability to use standard office equipment
Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time
Ability to scrutinize data and other information as it appears in on-screen reports and printed reports
Work performed during normal office hours; works evenings and weekends as necessary
Preferred
Previous experience customizing with Ellucian Colleague and integrated applications
Previous work experience in a Higher Education environment within an IT role supporting different functional areas (HR, Finance, Student, Bursar, etc.)
Previous experience with Enterprise Reporting tools
