Responsibilities
Build the data pipelines and database systems that power Compound's AI agents, ingesting diverse financial data sources and ensuring our systems can query them with speed and precision
Work closely with the founders to rapidly integrate new data sources that give our AI agents the context they need to deliver real value
Qualification
Required
Have deep expertise building and optimizing data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve data at scale, e.g. Beam, Spark, Flink, etc
Love going deep on details to understand data thoroughly
Are obsessive about schema correctness and query performance for latency-sensitive applications
Are an expert in database technologies: PostgreSQL, SQL/NoSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery and/or alternatives
Have experience with large datasets at hedge funds, trading firms, or top-tier tech companies
Have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, distributed systems
Are experienced in deploying services (docker, kubernetes) to at least one of GCP, AWS, Azure
Strong programmer with expertise in at least one statically-typed language
Use AI to augment yourself and accelerate your work, but you also augment AI (thoroughly review AI-code, catch its bugs, and call-out poor design)
Are invigorated by high-performing peers and doing high-quality work
