Responsibilities
Locate, sketch and document detailed information of OSP facilities, including cables, poles, ground structures, terminals, manholes and equipment
Actively advise clients during all phases of deployment
Update site specific customer office records with the use of computer aided drawing systems (i.e. AutoCAD)
Interact with all levels of management in sales, operations, engineering, installation and procurement services
Assist installation and customer engineering with the resolution of project issues
Interface with municipalities to secure permits and access as required
Adhere to all engineering milestones defined by the customer and/or management
Drive safely, follow company safe driving policies, and ensure all company vehicles and equipment are clean and well-maintained
Perform work in all weather conditions
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination
Knowledge of aerial or underground utilities
Knowledge of OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records
Knowledge of easement, right of way and permit documents
Physical abilities to routinely work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse
Physical abilities to occasionally climb stairs and stand
Preferred
Utility walkout or construction experience
