This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects, collaborating with various teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive cost estimates for electrical building projects, including expansion and upgrades
Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specification to determine scope, materials, and labor needs
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine cost projections and ensure accuracy
Demonstrate foresight in evaluating upcoming tasks to identify potential challenges, long duration activities, or special requirements, while maintaining flexibility to reprioritize in response to evolving sales demands
Source and evaluate pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers ensure cost-effectiveness
Identify and mitigate potential cost risks and recommend value engineering solutions
Prepare and present cost estimates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients
Maintain and up-to-date database of costs, trends, and market conditions relevant to each market that we work with
Assist in the development of bid proposals, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the estimation process
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil components
Skilled in cost tracking, cost analysis, unit pricing, percentage calculations, and post-project performance reviews to ensure accuracy
Proficiency in estimating software
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project specifications and technical documents
Strong negotiation and communication skills for internal and external interactions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with industry standards
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Background with low voltage and medium voltage electrical components such as VFDs, switchgear, and MCCs
