Regional Account Manager - B2B industrial materials
Southland Polymers is one of the largest distributors of engineering-grade plastic resins on the West Coast, seeking to expand its national sales footprint. The role involves working in an outside sales capacity with existing and new accounts, requiring proficiency in the company’s product lines and collaboration with the sales team to implement strategies.

Responsibilities
Learn about and become proficient in the company’s product lines
Work with the sales team to craft and implement sales strategies
Process inbound orders and follow-up on customer requests
Work with the customer service and logistics teams to fill customer orders quickly and accurately
Prospect accounts from both existing lists of target accounts
Cold call and discover new prospects through online and published sources
Aggressively follow-up on leads
Be responsible for providing excellent customer service
Independently maintain and manage a constant pipeline of prospective accounts through the sales process
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a B2B sales capacity
Possess the personality, work ethic, and integrity required to work at a company seeking to aggressively expand its national sales footprint
Extensive experience prospecting and/or cold-calling new accounts
Willingness to travel 50%
Associate degree (Required)
Sales experience: 8 years (Required)
Preferred
Prior plastic sales experience
Familiarity with CRM/Salesforce.com
Familiarity with Microsoft Word
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
College degree preferred
