Responsibilities

Physical design for electrical substations
Substation document and drawing preparation and review
QA/QC of substation physical design
Maintain working knowledge of current applicable codes and standards (i.e. NEC, NESC, IEEE)
Developing/maintaining proficiency with the applications and tools necessary to complete projects requested by clients
Stay informed of client, industry, and company news and developments
Learn and remain aware of services offered by all departments within the company
Align company capabilities with client needs; find opportunities to offer additional relevant services

Qualification

Substation physical designAutoCADElectrical engineering degreeMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsAttention to detailProblem-solving skills

Required

4-10 years of related experience, preferably in substation physical design
Two-year technical degree, or electrical or civil engineering degree
Proficiency with AutoCAD required
Proficiency with Microsoft® Office (required)
Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Effective problem-solving skills
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Candidates must pass a background check prior to employment

Preferred

Experience designing substations for investor-owned utilities is a plus
Proficiency with Office 365 and SharePoint
