LABVIEW TEST ENGINEER
Global Connect Technologies is seeking a LabVIEW Test Engineer to join their team. The role involves validating automated test scripts for automotive cluster software, ensuring functional compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain hardware-software compatibility.
Responsibilities
Execute and validate automated test scripts by reviewing:
Pre-condition setup
Hardware connectivity with the test console
Library calls and script/codebase dependencies
Abide by defined technical instructions, coding standards, and quality procedures
Review coding security practices and backup mechanisms; propose solutions for blocked or critical issues
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility between software, electronic hardware, and mechanical hardware
Review the work package plan prepared by the System Delivery Leader (SDL) and highlight any risks related to planning or execution
Ensure the usability and readiness of all Software Instruments and Software Workbenches
Prepare and complete the Test Readiness Report (TRR) prior to test execution
Follow and implement the test case re-use strategy
Update and enhance test cases to cover defects identified during exploratory testing
Support the SDL during quality gates and participate in Configuration Management (CM) audits when required
Identify training needs and inform the Team Leader for enrollment as required
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW
Code control flow and logical algorithms
Automotive coding standards
Code debugging and troubleshooting
Experience with CAN tools: CANoe, CAPL scripting
Excellent fluency in English (written and spoken)
Strong team-working attitude with effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to analyze, simplify, and summarize problems positively
Strong focus on quality and adherence to processes and standards
Good time management and prioritization skills
Receptive and professional attitude toward peers and subordinates
Passionate, self-motivated, and target-driven
Technical leadership mindset and capability
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science / IT
Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in automation testing using NI tools in the automotive industry
Preferred
Working experience with NI TestStand
Software functional testing experience for automotive instrument clusters
Hardware knowledge of basic, mid, and complex automotive clusters
